A Rose Is A Rose Is A Wall, Installation Views

Alejandra Seeber employs painting as a springboard to test ideas of freedom and restriction; does she simply paint with as little interference as possible, a cloud of images swelling in her interior, or rather does she control her imagination according to the structures of traditional narration? In her struggle to domesticate symbols and create meaning anew, Seeber ends up giving images novel forms and contexts, ultimately producing layered canvases ( in this case papers)that invite us to renegotiate boundaries between totality and fragment, authorship and chance.
